A consulting engineer is an independent professional who provides expert advisory services throughout the planning and execution of large-scale construction projects. They offer technical guidance, resolve challenges, manage construction-related legal administration, and help create optimal conditions for successful project delivery. Unlike contractors or suppliers, the consulting engineer serves as a neutral guarantor of quality and efficiency. On major projects — particularly in transport infrastructure — their role is essential to achieving a successful outcome. 

A construction lawyer combines legal expertise with practical experience in the building industry. With a deep understanding of construction processes, they are able to resolve legal issues efficiently and prevent potential disputes. As a key partner to the consulting engineer, the construction lawyer plays a vital role in the successful execution of construction projects. 

Georgi Margaritov is a graduate of a law faculty and holds both a vocational certificate and a professional qualification in bricklaying. He has been active in the construction industry since 2006, where he has been continuously involved in the preparation, management, and implementation of construction projects, with a particular focus on technical-organizational matters and legal advisory services.

After three years of legal practice in a law firm, he began to systematically devote himself to entrepreneurship in the construction sector, where he has long combined legal expertise with the specific demands of the construction process. In the years 2019–2020, he worked as a legal counsel at the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic, where he was responsible for comprehensive legal agenda related to the preparation and implementation of transport infrastructure projects. His work focused primarily on property rights preparation of projects, drafting, reviewing, and interpreting contractual documentation, setting up internal processes, commenting on relevant project documentation, and resolving disputes, including representation in court proceedings. At the same time, he was intensively involved in public procurement procedures and related legal issues.

In his current practice, he specializes, among other areas, in consulting on public procurement procedures and providing expert advisory services to all participants in the construction process at every stage of a project. A significant part of his professional activity also consists of advisory services related to contractual relationships governed by FIDIC Conditions of Contract, including their application within the Czech legal environment, as well as the management of variations, claims, and disputes arising during construction projects. He also acts as an arbitrator.

Alongside his professional practice, he is engaged in teaching activities in the field of social sciences and regularly participates as an active contributor at professional conferences and seminars.

As the sole managing director of MGM Engineering & Consulting s.r.o., he personally guarantees the high professional standard and quality of all outputs delivered by the company.
